One young hawk flies into woods by old nest, then onto forest floor. Sits on log near ground right on water’s edge. Then flies across pond into cottonwoods. Then circled my house 5 times. Was harassed by small birds then flew south after riding thermals.

No sign of any Cooper’s Hawks August 11 or August 12.
Brief encounters on August 16 with one hawk high in the trees and low in the forest near the nest location. No other encounters.
